While established in Ireland Ecco Spray Ltd embodies the European spirit of collaboration and cooperation. Ecco Spray Ltd registered in Ireland (CRO Number 711459) is an Irish- German start-up with a head office in the new Portershed building at the Bowling Green in the Galway Innovation District right in the heart of the Medtech ecosystem in Ireland.
The Story
Behind the Brand
Professor Dr. Med Helmut Haas is an inspirational and entrepreneurial example in how medical professionals continue to shape their profession even in retirement.
Professor Haas developed, tested and patented his ultrasound contact spray with more than 10,000 examinations in the latter years of his professional career and rather than taking it easy in retirement he has co-founded Ecco Spray Ltd as part of a mission to change a healthcare sector that has seen very little innovation in the last 40 years particularly in terms of environmentally unfriendly clinical practices.
While the spray has been 10 years in the making, recent developments concerning achieving net-zero in healthcare in the EU and the UK and also in relatively new medical field of point of care ultrasound makes the European launch of POCUS Spray very timely.
